Tamid Photo Essay in Lego® #12

 The Shot

Counting Sheep

Yonasan helps prepare the lamb for the Tamid offering.

The Story

You are here
The Tamid offering was brought twice a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon. The animals for this offering were kept in a designated room in southwestern corner the Beis Hamoked called the Chamber of the Lambs. Here, the lambs were inspected each day to make sure that they did not have any blemish that would prevent them from being used as a sacrifice. A total of eight lambs were housed in this chamber, and at the end of each day the two lambs that were used were replaced with two others.

The Setup

This shot is modeled and rendered in Bricklink Studio with depth of field added in Photoshop (read more about this process in my introduction). The lamps are 1x1 round plates in Luminous Soft Amber. Although Studio offers the 1569 Lamb piece, I thought it would be more fun (and economical) to build my own using, among other things, a fluted 1x2, small bracket, and a 1x1 Minecraft Zombie Eyes plate.
