Tamid Photo Essay in Lego® #13

 The Shot

Setting the Table

The Kohanim bring out the 93 daily vessels.

The Story

You are here
There were 31 different vessels used on a daily basis during the avodah.  These included items such as knives, measuring cups, ladles, and bowls. All of these were stored in the Chamber of the Vessels overnight and then brought out and set up on a table near the Mizbeyach each morning (read more about this here). The Beis Hamikdash kept two backup copies of each item in case the original or its replacement should become unfit for use, so in total there were 31 x 3 = 93 vessels brought out to the table each day.

The Setup

This shot is modeled and rendered in Bricklink Studio (read more about this process in my introduction). The default light is set to zero, the interior of the chamber is lit with Luminous Soft Amber, and the overall lighting is provided by a large baseplate behind the camera in Glowing Neon Blue.
