The Shot

The Story

The Tamid offering had to be slaughtered after dawn. In order to verify that this time had arrived, the Kohanim would send someone up to a high location (not specified where) and they would look to the east to make sure that sunrise was on its way.

The Setup

This shot is modeled and rendered in Bricklink Studio (read more about this process in my introduction). The foreground silhouettes are built of simple bricks and a microfigure, all in black. The sky is created using translucent plates of various colors which are all lit from the bottom using Luminous White bricks. To make the upper parts of the sky look darker, I added more and more translucent bricks behind it for the light to pass through.
